New website for our mosque

Bismillah

Assalamu alaykum dear friends,

We are pleased to announce the launch of our newly revamped and redesigned website of our mosque.

birmingham central mosque new website

Thanks to the web design team from Ummah-Design.com, our website is now fresh, standards compliant, database driven and CMS enabled.  Before our site was static and we had to send the material to the web designer and he then used to update it for us. It would take some time for the content to appear on the website.  Now we are able to update our site ourselves with little or even no IT skills, alhamdulillah.

We have introduced some new features on our new website and one of them is Ask Imaam.  Now you are able to ask our Imaam any religious questions online, inshallah.

To see all the features and new look of our website please visit: www.centralmosque.org.uk .

We look forward to your feedbacks, insahllah.

Wassalamu alaykum.

Aslam, I like the website layout allot good job!! Could you include prayer times for other cities too i.e. as +/- mins to the times on your time table. I live in nottingham and it is hard for me to find an online time table.

    Jazakallah.

    w.salam.

    As-Salaam-Wa-Laikum,

I’ve just subscribed to the RSS Feed via my mobile, it’s a wonderful feature to allow me to stay updated on Masjid news no matter where I am!

I was wondering though, is it possible to get Masjid Prayer Timings on my mobile as well? Something along the lines of a text alert, app or even updating daily/weekly/monthly rss feed?

    Jazak’Allah (SWT) Khair!

It is a pleasant surprise to see the new website. May Allah (SWT) (st) reward you for the hard work.

I tried to download and print February 09 Prayer timetable. But it is still printing January’s timetable. Could you please look into it urgently and correct it.

    Many thanks
    Wassaam

Has the Ask Imaam feature been disabled? As I can’t find a link to it from the main site.

  11. admin on 06 Feb 2009 at 02:01 #

    Assalam,
Yes the Ask Imaam has been disabled for a short period for some technical reasons. Inshallah, we will resume as soon as we can.

    Salaam,

I noticed that it is not always easy for those who are not computer-literate to print out the specific articles on the website & blog.

Have you considered adding a specific ‘Print View’ button for all content pages so that there is an easy two step process to print the information out?

This would make the information more accessible for those who cannot spend much time in front of the computer.

Kind Regards & Jazak’Allah (SWT) Khair,

    Amir.

    Asalaam Alaikum,

love the layout, especially the fact that the daily prayer times are in a really good position, so that you can see them straight away without having to scroll and search around the website. nice job!
